Photographer's Note

This is the second oldest building on the campus of the Syracuse University. Opened in 1881 as John Crouse Memorial College for Women. (founded by Mr. Crouse, a wealthy banker). Built in Romanesque Revival style by Archimedes Russell, the same architect who later built the Onondaga County Courthouse. Unfortunately I only have a picture of its back side, but I hope it shows how nice is this building. The building now home to the College of Visual and Performing Artsí Rose, Jules R., and Stanford S. Setnor School of Music and the college's administrative offices.
