Photographer's Note

Enroute to a covered bridge in the Catskill Mountain Park in New York State, along the road these Canadian Geese were preparing for their morning flight. As I parked and neared their location they moved toward the center of the pond. I walked to the other end of the pond for a different vantage point and they stayed mid water even though I was 200 meters away. This is before sunrise and is hand held. I bumped the ISO so it is a bit grainy but the steam rising from the surface and the deep shadows made a photo that I thought was worth sharing. The significance to TE is that there are still places where this wild life is available still for viewing. When they did fly away they did so honking away, it was a grand sight.
