Photographer's Note

Stevenson Dam is on the Housatonic River, and was built in 1919 by the Connecticut Light and Power Company to produce hydroelectric power.

The resulting Lake Zoar is the fifth largest freshwater body in the state. They say that the lake now covers the original village of the Pootatuck Indians.
