Photographer's Note

Taken this morning with my new 3.0 neutral density filter.

I've named the shot copy cat as a joke. In taking this shot, I was attempting to emulate some of the work by another photographer on this site. I don't actually view it as copy cat work though, it's just an amusing title to me. Anyway, taking this shot reminded me of when I was learning to play bass guitar. I would play other people's music and try to emulate them. After a while, I would find my own voice and style. Now I'm really just starting out with photography and for the most part, I am still playing other people's music.

On the technical side, I did so much processing with this shot that I'll be lucky to remember everything I did.

- Slightly overexposed
- Changed white balance from daylight to cloudy
- Increased contrast
- Increased saturation
- Changed the gradient to remove the HORRENDOUS vignetting in the original
- copy/pasted some sky to remove a dust speck (!!!) on my image sensor
- Cropped to remove the edge small remnants of the edge of the lens filters

phew, i think that's it....
