Photographer's Note

Now I know this scene isn't anything overly exciting or inspirational, it won't make you laugh or cry, but its what I love to capture.

It can be very difficult to walk around cities and take a photo that hasn't been taken before, so thats what was going through my head when I was out on this photo shoot - trying something new.

I wanted to leave out the sky, and leave out the river down below and just focus in on the concrete Jungle of buildings, making sure there are no spaces of light in between the buildings too. This way the frame is 100% city.

Chicago is famous for its bridges, and here we get a tiny glimpse of one of them. In my next post, i'll show a very unique POV of the bridge deck.

Again, its not everyone's cup of tea, but I like searching for these city shots. In the WS is the black and white version.

And if you didn't notice, the title Concrete Jungleland is in reference to Bruce Springsteen's song Jungleland - he's my favorite artist, just had to get that in there :)
