Photographer's Note

Another picture taken yesterday after north Britain had suffered several days of very heavy rain. Taken at one of my favourite places, the Talla Reservoir, this time looking north-west along the road which passes along the northern bank of the reservoir towards Tweedsmuir. Lots of flooding on the roads and surrounding land, but the sun was breaking through an occasionally patchy sky and producing some magical lighting.

[Actually, although I have posted several pictures of this area under the place-name of Tweedsmuir in the Scottish Borders, the little village of Tweedsmuir is actually in South Lanarkshire: the nearby Talla and Fruid and Megget reservoirs are in the Scottish Borders.]

Shot in RAW using a polarising filter and converted and edited in PSE6.
