The sea dyed the setting sun, a photo from Okinawa, Okinawa

Photographer's Note

This photograph was taken on the Onna seashore located in West Coast of Okinawa in summer five years ago. It grows dark and time is before at 7 of night. The sun went down every moment and the quiet sea was dyed the setting sun. When I was standing on the seashore, the sound of the wave which rolls in to sands repeatedly remained in the ear. This is an exclusive beach in front of a hotel. It was built as if a small lighthouse might overlook the sea at the tip of left rocks. The monitor board which finished work of daytime is lonesomely placed on sands. And, a man is swimming in sea at this late time. And, when passed as long as 30 minutes from the time which took this photograph, the seashore was wrapped in deep darkness.

Hello Mikio,
This is a very beautiful photo where the golden tone of the sky and water has created a fine and slightly nostalgic atmosphere of summer. There is a fine triangle going through the islet with the lighthouse, the strong reflection of the sun at the horizon and the blue folded umbrella. The long line of buoys gives the water another interesting element and the head of the lonely swimmer is a great detail.

nice the view of the 'golden' reflections on the calmly surface of the sea makes the scene so beautiful and unique.The lonely close sun umbrella and the swimmer make the image even more effective.
