Photographer's Note

Yesterday afternoon we visited the Temple of Debod in Madrid.
At present, the Temple of Debod, stands at the summit of the mountain from Principe Pio. Lift was ordered by the king of Meroe Nubian Adijalamani about 2200 years ago. Originally it was a chapel in the town of Dedod, south of Egypt, in honor of the god Amon, the father of all gods. Has expanded to also devoted to the goddess Isis.

In 1968 the temple gave Debod the Spanish government and its people in regard to his efforts in helping to safeguard the temples of Abu Simbel. The church went to the port of Alexandria, and from there came to Valencia on June 18, 1970. From there he was transported to Madrid to start its reconstruction, which was a odisea.
