Photographer's Note

Structure I in the archeological site of Xpuhil. This structure is also known as the Building of the Three Towers. It has a maximum height of 18 meters and its center line runs more than 53 meters along a perfect north-south alignment. It has twelve rooms which were oriented towards the four cardinal points, according to its distribution. The main façade faces east, the most important direction within the pre-Columbian Maya view of the Universe.
