Photographer's Note
Acapulco is a city, and major sea port in the state of Guerrero on the Pacific coast of Mexico, 300 kilometres (190 mi) southwest from Mexico City. Acapulco is located on a deep, semi-circular bay and has been a port since the early colonial period of Mexico’s history. It is a port of call for shipping and cruising lines running between Panama and San Francisco, California, United States. The city of Acapulco is the largest in the state.
The city is best known as one of Mexico’s oldest and most well-known beach resorts, which came into prominence by the 1950s as a getaway for Hollywood stars and millionaires.a Acapulco is still famous for its nightlife and still attracts many vacationers, although most are now from Mexico itself. The resort area is divided into two: The north end of the bay is the “traditional” area, where the famous in the mid 20th century vacationed and the south end is dominated by newer luxury high rise hotels.
Cortés established Acapulco as a major port by the early 1530s, with the first major road between Mexico City and the port constructed by 1531. The wharf, named Marqués, was constructed by 1533 between Bruja Point and Diamond Point. Soon after, the area was made an “alcadia” (major province or town). Spanish trade in the Far East would give Acapulco a prominent position in the economy of New Spain. Galleons started arriving here from Asia by 1550, and in that year thirty Spanish families were sent to live here from Mexico City to have a permanent base of European residents. Acapulco would become the second most important port, after Veracruz.
Acapulco was probably the most enjoyable city that we visited of the five ports of call in Mexico.
Currently there are some problems in this city with crime and political struggles, but I would still recommend a visit there.

Hi Roger,
You had a great cruise to Mexico, must be very relaxing, enjoying sun and visitimg interesting harbours. I have never been on such a trip and probably never will, but who knows. I was in Mexico but not to Acapulco. I am more interested in ruins than in beach resorts.
Here also iimpressive view of the giant ship. Nice view of Acapulco.

Hello Roger,
The title evokes a distant, inaccessible dream, an idealized place. Very beautiful bright, colored photo, with a small lack of neatness. Bravo.
Have a nice day

Da San Francisco ad Acapulco una grande crociera con grosse navi e piacevoli città da visitare.
Dal 1950, ricordando vecchi films è un paradiso anche per i messicani ricchi oltre che per i turisti degli States ..
Ottimo lavoro

Hello Roger,
You made a good choise when showing the cruise-boat alongside the pier and town on the BG.
That gave a fine DOF on image, with bright light as well.
Regards
Ike

Ciao Roger,
un'ora in cui le luci appaiono morbide senza alti contrasti generando tonalità di colori soft.
Buono il POV con la nave che crea la prospettiva danndo profondità all'immagine.
Ottimo lavoro

Hi Roger,
The distance between the ship and the buildings is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showintg the details and colors of the ship. The morning light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.
