Photographer's Note

On the Plaza de Armas near to the Rio Givalja, there is a lookout tower combined with a footbridge. Locally the tower is known as El Mirador. Alfonso, my driver, had wanted me to secure a view of the historical centre, but after climbing the steps to the bridge, I found there was a big padlock on the gate that provides access to the tower. Maybe I needed a letter of permission from the governor, or something?
