Photographer's Note

A man and wife haul in their net as the sun sets, working their trade from the Stanley Park seawall, which in addition to an erosion buffer also serves as a 5.5 mile (8.8km) path that rings Stanley Park. The park consists of 1000 acres of woods and trails on the very edge of downtown Vancouver. The seawall path is used annually by some 2.5 million pedestrians, cyclists and inline skaters. This shot however was taken prior to the devastating Novemer storms of 2006, which uprooted thousands of large trees and tore out sections of path and seawall, with the latter currently under repair in several sections. This scene is near Ferguson Point near Second Beach.
