Photographer's Note
I was walking on Montreal's Old Port taking photos and here two things call my attention. First the man with his own camera and second the strange construction in the background.
Searching on internet I found that is Habitat 67, or simply Habitat. It is a model community and housing complex designed by Israeli-Canadian architect Moshe Safdie.
It was originally conceived as his master's thesis in architecture at McGill University and then built as a pavilion for Expo 67, the World's Fair held from April to October 1967. It is located next to the Saint Lawrence River. Habitat 67 is widely considered an architectural landmark and one of the most recognizable and spectacular buildings in both Montreal and Canada.

Hello Andre,
A very special neighbourhood on the other side of the water.
It reminds me a bit of a university building (La Mémé) that was erected in Brussels in the early 1970s.
In contrast, however, this entire neighbourhood has a uniform colour.
The man and the lamppost add good depth to the picture.
Best regards, Paul

Olá, André!
Realmente muito curiosas as casas, à primeira vista até pensei que fossem barracos construídos no morro! E a iluminação é muito boa, dando excelentes cores à composição! Belo trabalho!

A very interesting post, Andre. The strange architect reminds me of a social housing project in our neighbourhood, I believe it dates from the sixties too. The man-in-suit is an essential addition to the scene & really makes the shot for me.

Hello Andre,
The houses in background it seem a socially complex and not the most beautiful architecture.
The man in foreground makes a picture of the river and area.
Nice depth and perspective.
Also colours and sharpness are perfect.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John.

Hello again,
At least as he not taking a selfie. Joking apart, the modern architecture creates an excellent bg for the photo.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello Andre, the man is standing on the promenade planned along the St Lawrence river next to a touristic informative sign. He is capturing the activity on the river with his camera. Habitat 67 reminds a town in the Middle East, original architecture. Fine colors, good image quality, instructive photo note, regards.

Hi Andre,
you are right: there is something very eye catching in the buildings behind -they just don't appear real, more like building blocks made by children.
And the photographer in the scene is always a bonus, here a handsome elegantly dressed man.
Charming composition very well done!!

Hello Andre.
Really surprising this composition, with this neighborhood of houses with such a cubic design, some seem hung from others, it is possible that it is a model of housing, but I would not live in them.
By the way if you ever come to Madrid, here you have a friend.
Good perspective of the image, very nice to look at.
Very good composition, excellent presentation.
Have a good weekend. Warm greetings.
Luis.
