Photographer's Note

“Big wave” is the name of this photograph. I took this photograph today at Cape Spear and the waves were unusually high. The temperature is sunny and 20°C. We finally got a great spring day. As usual, I took a number of photographs some of which I will share on T. E.
It was unusual because we never spotted any whales. I was a bit disappointed because there are no icebergs visible. We noticed a number of people having picnics enjoying the nice weather.
A couple of girls were sitting close to those rocks and they move quickly upon our advice before a disaster happened. It has been known that getting too close could be very risky because a rogue wave could wash you into the sea very quickly.
This photograph was level adjusted, sharpened in lab color U. S. M.100,2,1, and saved for the web.
