For Mesut, a photo from Istanbul, Marmara

Photographer's Note

Our friend Mesut, when he commented on my previous photo of Sirkeci's Station, asked me if I could have taken some photo of the waiting halls and of its elegant beauty, which remembers us the glorious epoch of the Orient Express.

So I found this capture, in which the strong cross-light was creating a pleasant effect of chiaroscuro, with a good contrast between the dark silhouettes and the luminosity of outside of the building. The stained-glass windows were a real photographic challenge.

This photo is dedicated to Mesut.

Nuestro amigo Mesut, cuando comentó mi anterior foto de la Estación de Sirkeci, me preguntó si había podido tomar alguna foto de las salas de espera y de su elegante belleza, que nos recuerda los gloriosos tiempos del Orient Express.

Entonces encontré esta toma, en la que el fuerte contraluz creaba un agradable efecto de claroscuro, con un buen contraste entre las siluetas oscuras y la luminosidad del exterior del edificio. Las vidrieras de colores eran todo un desafío fotográfico.

Esta foto está dedicada a Mesut.

What a great surprise for me and what a great honour !
This is exactly what I had asked you for ; her it is.
Very good pictorial geometry and perfect light management. A perfect TE entry enriched with many interesting notes.
This place was the beginning or end of many train journeys or better said adventures to and from Europe. Many authors worldwide mentions this place in their Romans including Agatha Christie !

This is an adorable shot from within the station hall's, outwqards view through the beautiful arch-windows and the painted glasses.
Light management is exquisite, well handled the backlight and sharpness allow superb elements to be shown wonderfully.

A challenging indoor shot depicting brightest and darkest nicely cropped to concentrate the eye in the symmetrical area. The beauty of the eye popping stained glass is captured perfectly as strong eye puller while the silhouetted figs solidify the composition and there's a pleasant exposure outside while retaining good highlights in shadowed areas and this looks so pleasing as a whole and smooth. Hola Josep.
Todo un desafío esta esplendida composición, pues no es nada fácil, equilibrar con tan buen resultado, unas condiciones de luz tan diferentes, incluso la calle a través de los ventanales la podemos ver.
Preciso ese toque de color que dan las vidrieras circulares, el fuerte contraluz de la escena y la gente da un buen toque vital.
Espero estéis disfrutando de un buen fin de semana, aquí tenemos un tiempo invernal, con lluvia y viento.

esta foto tiene arte y tiene vida ........ las siluetas y los colores de afuera traen vida a lo que se ve en primer plano que es mas bien artisitico y simétrico.
Me gusta la composición y encuentro que conseguiste un muy ablance con la luz disponible.

very nice the view of the stained-glass windows from the interior of the station as the dark in it, brings out the details,the beauty as the artistic ability of the artist.I like the way that th colours and the light are the eye catching of the scene with the dark silhoutees of the visitors on the right and the others on the left,exrerior,to complete perfect the whole scene.Well done my friend.

Désolée mon ami j'ai visité plus souvent la galerie de Pilar ces derniers temps! :)
Très jolie contre jour avec ces vitraux colorés qui contrastent sur le fond noir. Un très bel effet graphique avec une grande symétrie et une bonne gestion de la lumière. J'aime beaucoup! Une belle dédicace pour notre ami Mesut aussi, bravo.
