Syria is unfortunately still suffering from serious problems.
Here a portrait I'd made in the year 2010.

This is a portrait of a Syrian street seller in Hamah at late aftrenoon light.

Hopefully peacefull days shall come back soon to this nice region in the Middle East.

we don't see too many photos from Syria, so this is a welcome sight. As you mentioned in the note, i'm sure the country will return to safer times, but it will take just that - time. The longer I view this one, the more and more I like it and I find it interesting to see how the head gear is worn around his ear. We don't often see that so up close like this. cheers

Very nice portrait of this old man captured with perfect light! Sharpness is also very good to show the details of his turban! It must be a wonderful country, and we all hope peace will be back soon there!

A picture from better times.
Very nicely taken in profile.
Hama suffered from much violence as early as 1982.
Hopefully soon things will get better for the residents.
