Another crazy sunset and another photo session!
This evening (Nov 20th) i saw one of the most intense sunsets i have ever seen, so much so that i can't correctly convert the RAW file to make it look like i saw it, so instead i have uploaded the untouched Jpg version!
Yes i know you think this has been edited in Photoshop, but i can promise you it hasn't!
The colours were so strong that my camera couldn't handle it! It was waaaaay out of the camera's capibility, and this was a Nikon D300 im talking about!!!

Anyway, Orchard Bay is along the Isle of Wights south coast, just a couple of miles from Ventnor Bay.
To access Orchard bay you have to walk through the grounds of an old TB Hospital (built in the 1800's) which are supposed to be very haunted if you believe in that kind of thing!
Apart from a few strange noises, i didn't see anything unusual, apart from this amazing sky!

I used an ND8 Grad filter

Vivid colors..
Good light..
Good sharpness..

Hello Jamie,

Wonderful!!! And good that you write in the note about this being the jpeg and not a heavily processed raw file. Wonderful what a colours!

Well, now I know where all the colours went here in the Netherlands.... It was another grey day with a total lack of sunset.

Bye! Dennis

Hi Jamie,
saturated colors, strong light, great image!
also a nice diagonal you found here with the shore
regards
didier

Hi Jamie,
Is this strong or what??? Wow, you were at the right place at the right time to catch this one. The colors are out of this world and the perspective stunning. well done and TFS. Gerald

Wow love those vivid colours aj

Bloody hell, that's what I would call intense! A magnificent sight and magical capture Jamie. The Isle of Wight has some amazing weather situations and you made the most of this. Fantastic work..

Hi Jamie,
Wonderful shot ! The framing is excellent, with a great point of view, and the colours are great.
Regards,
Olivier

Beautiful scenery... And it's worth living close to the sea just for blurred water effect ;) Good framing, too.
