Photographer's Note

Once again Gala Day comes to East Linton in Scotland.

Each year there is a gala in the village and a queen, chosen from the village children, is crowned. There is a parade of decorated floats through the streets, this year the theme was Musicals. At the head of the parade was a local pipe band, with the local volunteer fire brigade behind. As well as the children's floats on lorries there were also vintage cars and tractors.

The parade ends in the local park where the Queen is crowned and there are stalls and music. A superb event for everyone, even a bit of rain didn't dampen spirits.
