Photographer's Note

My second day in Bournemouth and we are off to explore Boscombe Beach, which is only a ten-minute walk downhill. The hill road is very steep, for there are cliffs along the beach here.
People rent these little huts for the season, some even keep them for a lifetime, renewing the lease year after year. The huts are a great place to leave your swimsuits and towels during the week, your dry clothes when you go for a dip, and a campstove and supplies for tea and light meals.
Spring is well along and although the water is too cold for swimming, the sun is warm enough to enjoy the relative quiet of the sands which will crowded with swimmers and sunbathers in a few weeks.
