Photographer's Note

In order to get this shot I had to get very wet up to my knees. Despite the appearance that the tide had receded down the beach, each rolling wave forced the water back up the beach to soak me. At first I kept jumping away, frustrated that I kept losing my composition. But after a bit I favoured keeping my composition and getting wet rather than losing the shot. The tide was, after all crucial to this shot as I wanted to capture that mirror like effect that reflects the scene as the water drains back to the sea.

I got what I wanted, but also got the wettest boots and trousers that I can remember!!!
