Hi Jean. This villa is truly magnificent! A rare example of a house built in Gothic style enriched, simply a show. Great catch despite the difficult light. Also very interesting is the look at the garden, where in addition to flowers, spinach and green beans are also grown as I can see, this time the essential has given way to the classic decorative .. ehehe .. Hello Jean,
This is quite an impressive building, beautifully designed, but it looks rather gloomy. I really wouldn't like to live there. You had a more favourable light in the WS but this photo has the advantage of the persons. It looks better from this angle regardless of the light.

The photo offers a great view of the house grand house, built in Gothic style. I like the rather low viewpoint you chose, which makes the architecture stand out well from the cloudy sky.

Hello Jean,
The dark colors of the building materials this large mansion was built with, and the cloudy sky gave special ambiance to the backyard scene.
Still, the picture is clear and distinct in contrast, enliven by the people at its entrance, and taken from a fair distant POV to include its whole edifice. A fine outcome on picture.

Ha! Ha! Jean, was there a little tongue in cheek, here, that you are like tradesmen ... entering by the back door! 😉.
It is a most impressive building, even from the rear!
You have chosen a good viewpoint to include its entirety and place the animating figures strongly.
It does look quite dark but your details are sharp despite that.

The weather was not that good which didn't help much here, but I thnk you did your utmost in providing as much interesting detail as possible and focus of the imposing historic building.

obviously the WS photo has better lighting, perhaps that would have been a better choice for the main post - but its all subjective anyways, and we DO get to see it in the WS. It would be great to see interior photos. What a house this is! I bet its been in some movies or tv shows. cool. cheers

Hi Jean

Tricky but well handled backlighting on a cloudy day. The slight darkness adds to the Gothic mood and atmosphere. Good sharpness and the people outside the old house add scale and animate the scene. Tfs!
