Southwark 3, a photo from London, England

Photographer's Note

The skyline of Southwark is dominated by the Shard - like Portsmouth's skyline by the Spinnaker Tower -, on this picture however only its top is visible. The colours at the bottom of the image made me not to convert it into BW.

In the ws you can see additional pictures with the Shard.

Hello György,
Even though we only see the top of the Shard it's to me a more impressive building than the Spinnaker Tower. And the building with the curving wall is not bad either. But it's often the small details that decide the attraction of a photo, and it's very much so with these colourful dots here and there. You could have cropped the upper half. ;-) The WS would not have lost so much in B&W, but this is best just as it is.

Typical greyish British weather! There's some lovely features suffice to grab attention; the architecture and some bright colour on the bottom portion oozes to compensate the dull sky. Good enough shot to share your experience there. Congrats

I am glad you did not convert the image. Not only the colors, but the story being told from modern architecture to the graffiti that is sprayed on the older building in view. Almost two worlds on a collision course with each other. We see it all over the world. The haves, and the have nots. It's a wonder they can even communicate. Just a thought..

Hello Gyorgy, Interesting all three picturesof the Shard. Though, I like most the lower part of this one. Interesting how behind this old house with the clock there are the modern ones.
