Photographer's Note

This is a little bit of fun for Carlo (carlo62)!

Another shot taken at the time of the recent "Leonardo Exhibition" in Glasgow's Kelvingrove Gallery where several drawings and sketches from the Royal Collection of Leonardo da Vinci's works were being displayed.

Carlo recently told me that he lives not far from where Leonardo da Vinci was born - so surely this lady must be trying to find Carlo's house on Leonardo's map!

Leonardo's map at which she is looking is of the valley of the River Arno and part of the west coast of Italy. Here you can see details of this map but it is important to note that the map is actually orientated so that north is to the left and east is at the top. The west coast is seen from La Spezia down to Civitavecchia and the main focus is on the Arno - so I'm sure Carlo's house will definitely be there!!

I must apologise for the graininess of this picture but the light levels were very low, as you can tell from the exif data below:

ISO 4000, 1/30 sec at f/4, focal length 40mm.
