Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

I'm just back after a few days with my grandchildren, great fun but exhausting!

I have previously shown the ruins of the old abbey, at Bolton Abbey but there are also buildings in fine repair.

This is Bolton Hall, see larger and clearer, here, once the gate house to the abbey but then extended and now the private residence of the Duke of Devonshire. Of course, without invitation, it is impossible to get close to the beautiful building.

Here, you can see it in late spring, when the daffodils helped to make the scene more colourful on a dull day.

I will add a couple of workshops showing the driveway to the hall here how it relates to the ruins here .

Have a lovely Sunday, Bev :-)
