Photographer's Note

Whoever liked the sky in my previously uploaded photo, will not like this sky here. Sadly this is the type of sky which we have in England most of the year: white-gray with no features...

This Easter I made a short trip to the south of England. The main destination was Peppa Pig World, a theme park located near Southampton. I am not sure if Peppa Pig is popular in other countries? It is a fantastic British cartoon for children. I don’t know any other cartoon which would be so well settled in the real world. It presents very real problems of daily life in Britain. I know that it is quite popular in Poland too. My daughter watches usually the original version but we have printed books in Polish. I assume it must be popular in some other countries too. And so for many children the spot presented in this photo may be of more importance than some popular touristic destinations. In the very centre you see a building of museum which Peppa visited several times, for example to see a dinosaur for her little brother birthday. In the immediate foreground you see Grandpa Pig driving the miniature locomotive called Gertrude. It was one of the rides at the theme park which is completely devoted to Peppa Pig World. Behind the museum to the left you can see the most important building in that world: Peppa Pig’s House. The architecture is not very sophisticated yet the structure is recognizable by many children.
