Photographer’s Note
A very brooding picture of Ardvreck Castle situated on the banks of Lach Assynt in the Scottish Highlands
I have done a bit of post production on this but not a major amount. Some saturation in specific areas to bring back the feeling i had at the time of taking the picture.
The area is remote but the scenery is breathtaking!
With the stillness of the day i was only able to stand still for a few moments as the highlands chief inhabitant (midges) feasted upon me every time i slowed down
This castle is just off the road from Ullapool to Durness / Cape Wrath @ Inchnadamph
Additional work done to adress the initial critiques on the photo
I have recropped and positioned the castle to the left hand third of the frame now.
I reduced the actual height of the photo to bring the castle to more prominence and lessen the extent of the skys influence.
Minor additional tweeking to right hand side and the addition of a frame around the image
Comments welcomed especially against the initial post.
