Photographer's Note

When I explained to the family what we might see on our impending trip to the Isle of Man, I described to them the beautiful countryside, the trams, the sandy beaches, the steam trains, the T.T. course, the mountain railway, giant waterwheels.

What I did not prepare them for was a 1941 Willys Americar coupe hotrod !

Obviously a labour of love for an out and out enthusiast this would seem to have been done in his garage over a course of many years.

For the petrolheads amongst us a short video clip

More of what we did not expect in WS

The Willys name of course went on to become synonymous with the WW11 Jeep, an interesting account of which can be found here. For the very patient, a less jingoistic account can be read here.
