I have shared here already several photos from Newcastle upon Tyne taken along the river. This time as my point of view I have chosen the Swing Bridge. Obviously, you cannot see the Swing Bridge here because I am standing on it. If you are curious click here to see a view from a bridge behind (High Level Bridge), in which the extraordinary Swing Bridge is seen at the bottom of the frame.

The Tyne Bridge which you can see in this photo was a prototype to a larger and more famous Harbour Bridge built later in Sydney by the same company from Middlesbrough.

Swing Bridge is much lower and closer to the water surface than other Tyne bridges, that is why from this point you can actually see how the Tyne Bridge looks from below. Under the Tyne Bridge further in the distance you can find the characteristic arch of the pedestrian Millennium Bridge or the modern oval shape of the Sage concert hall.
