Photographer's Note

Richmond Park is one of the biggest parks in Europe. It is located in SW London. Many species of deer live in the park whose grounds were once Henry VIII's hunting grounds.

The deer which inhabit this park are culled yearly to thin the population and prevent disease.

In the middle of the park are the Pen Ponds lakes. They have recently been re-stocked with tench and crucian carp. The top lake already holds a +40lb carp known as The Royal 40.

Here is a picture of a seagull! It a seagull after the many flakes of bread fed to the ducks and gulls which have learnt to frequent and currently inhabit Pen Ponds. Many people come and feed the ducks every day, along with the many gulls whose swift flight and strong fight often captures crusts quicker than a capable coot.

Richmond Park, Pen Ponds, beautiful scenery - a member of TE once posted some amazing pictures of the park.

Aubrey - I live in hope to take pictures of the park like you did / do.

I will keep trying and then some.

Until then, here is a gull on a mission.
