Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

My photograph shows the outside of the Market Hall in Oxford.
It really does look much better in the large format which can be accessed here .

I must admit, it doesn't really fill the expectations of what you will see in this ancient University Town but, there is no doubt, this frontage really attracts attention with its bright, colourful graffiti.

In my opinion, this is the artist's impression of one of the alleys in the covered hall. You can see the vases on a stall and above, the wonderful roof supports.

The Covered Market was officially opened on 1 November 1774 and is still active today. It was started in response to a general wish to clear 'untidy, messy and unsavoury stalls' from the main streets of central Oxford. - Wikipedia

I will add a photograph from inside the market hall as a workshop.

Thank you, Paul, for helping me to clarify my notes.

Have a good Sunday, Bev :-)
