Photographer's Note

The furthermost corner of the North East English coast, Northumberland, is simply spectacular. If you only have a good weather. And this year we did. It may have been over, but there were several weekends in a row when we could enjoy outdoor lifestyle, unlike most of the years which I experienced in England so far. Northumberland is wild, with no crowds. Sandy beaches are spacious and there are several amazing castles or their ruins along the coast.

This picture was taken from the tower of Dunstanburgh Castle which you may remember from Bev’s photos. It was my first visit there. Quite a long walk to get to the castle but was worth it. It is located south from Bamburgh Castle and north of Warkworth Castle or Alnwick Castle which I have showed already on TrekEarth before.
