Photographer's Note
Good Morning Everyone,
I called this three in one because in the photograph we can see three features that are, or were, important to the livelihood of Beadnell.
Please take the time to click on Three in One where you will see the photograph much bigger and clearer.
In the foreground are the lobster pots, still used by the fishermen working from this small harbour. Behind the lobster pots is one of the huge lime kilns, built in 1789, once important for burning lime, to make quicklime, which was used as a fertilizer and in building mortar. And last, in the background, is the distinctive Beach Court, a very well known bed and breakfast establishment situated right next to the beach.
( Beach Court is a lovely b&b establishment, especially if you are fortunate enough to book the turret, which has vast views over the beach and out to sea.)
Beadnell has a long and rich history for such a small village nestled deep in the North-Northumbrian coastline.
Have a lovely day, Bev :-)

Hello Bev,
Beadnell is a new one on me, though I have to say I have not travelled to that part of the UK very often. It looks a delightful place especially under this light. I like the point of view and the amount of space allocated to the different elements of the composition. Lights and colours are very agreeable and there is some wonderful textural detail to be observed in the lime kiln.
Turned very cold here as of today, but dry and bright, a change after all the rain.

Hello, Bev!
Beautiful capture of all these elements that make a great contrast with the open sky, making the image very attractive! The architectural details are shown here with excellent light and sharpness, and the photo also has very good depth! Wonderful composition! Well done!

Hello Beverley,
A old house BB place with a window to the sea, and an even older round edifice use as a "lime kilns" - something new to me. As always said, we learn new stuff every day, especially on TE.
loks as a beautiful old town, picture has marvelous light and details.
Good afternoon,
Ike

Hello Beverley,
I like the symmetry between the 2 circular towers. Good sharpness and excellent color and sharpness with a nice warm cold colour contrast between the blue sky and the yellow red stones of the sunlit towers. Tfs!

Hello Bev,
Like Stephen, I'm afraid that the northeast of England is a part I have never really explored and, seeing this fine photograph, this is a deficiency which I need to correct.
How nice that we can see those three features so well in this lovely well composed photograph. The huge lime kiln on the right certainly dominates the show but it also leads the eye nicely to the very attractive Beach Court which looks like a wonderful place to stay!
Lovely light and colours and exceptional technical quality too.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.
P.S. Do the proprietors of Beach Court give commission to photographers advertising their lodgings? :)
P.P.S. Interesting too that Malgo has just today posted a picture entitled "Two in One"!

Hello Bev,
This is extraordinarily to look at.
The different buildings with the big part to the rightside.
Also the background care for a nice addition.
Sharpness and clarity are perfect.
Nice presentation too.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John

Bonjour Bev,
Amicalement

Hello Bev,
An attractive photo featuring among other things the now world famous Beach Court b&b. (Known in Brazil, Israel, Australia among other countries, and now Sweden.) You managed well to combine three interesting features with no direct connection between them. I am surprised that the things stacked by the wall are called lobster pots. They don't look like pots to me, rather like cages, or even nets. Anyway it was a beautiful day in early summer and the light, colours and sharpness are all perfect.
Kind regards,
Gert

My first the thought was that it is a fortress, only your note explains that it is a lime kiln, very interesting and original, a very nice photo

Hello Beverley, an interesting collection of buildings; and I am drawn to the dilapidated shed!
Excellent sharpness throughout.
Blessed with a bright sunny day, the sunshine has enhanced the colours and textures.
Thanks for sharing, regards Jean.

Hello Bev
Three in one and all three with round shapes in it but all with its own size. A lovely sunny scene that showed something of the rich history, but also something of the attractive present.
Well done. Have a good weekend. Groet Rob

Hello Beverley,
Wonderful photo with such eye-catching, well-saturated colours. The warm tones of the stones and the blue sky go really well together. Splendid composition too. The lobsters pots are well included in the foreground and the old stone wall adds a really appealing pattern.

Hi Bev
so i take it you've stayed a night or two in that bed and breakfast? in that turret room? I took a look at it in the larger clearer beta version, looks great. love the stones the most, it must have been pain staking to build them and stack them like that. Never heard of this place before so that along makes it interesting for me, I wouldn't have a clue where to find it on a map. your shot is super clear and has so much illumination, love it. cheers

Hi Bev,
lovely spot I will try to remember it.
Nowadays the weather is usually not very encouraging for any trips so we stay around but with warmer days I believe we will start exploring UK again and so all your ideas come in handy :)
Nice composition. Northumberland is like a real mine for amazing places to visit!
Beautiful work,
