Photographer's Note

This is a view of the route to Great Dodd (Eastern Fells) from a small outcrop of rocks called Calfhow Pike.
Great Dodd stands at 2807' above sea level.
Our path can be seen to the right of the frame.
This place looks (and is) a great deal more interesting when covered in snow. During the summer months this walk is an easy "trudge" across grassy moorland style surroundings.
We were extremely lucky with the weather considering the time of year - clear blue skies and no wind.
