Kiev - Chernobyl Museum

When people in Belgium hear that I’ve visited Ukraine they usually want to know if I’ve also been to Chernobyl.
I thought about it, but decided not to go. Perhaps I’ve been overly cautious …

But in Podil I visited the museum. In Ukrainian it’s called the Chornobyl Museum.
It opened to the public on April 26, 1992,in Podil, Kiev, at a distance of a hundred kilometers of the epicenter of the disaster.

The aim of the museum is to make people realize the need of reconciliation between man, science and technology that endanger the existence of human civilization and earth, to conceive the lessons of the tragedy in all the parts of life, so that the world won’t forget the lessons of Chernobyl.
The museum is a warning for the new millennia generations.
