Photographer's Note
Gothic style in Spain. The Cathedral was begun in 1226 under the rule of Ferdinand III and the last Gothic contributions were made in the 15th century when, in 1493, the vaults of the central nave were finished during the time of the Catholic Monarchs. It was modeled after the Bourges Cathedral, although its five naves plan is a consequence of the constructors' intention to cover all of the sacred space of the former city mosque with the cathedral, and of the former sahn with the cloister. It also combines some characteristics of the Mudéjar style, mainly in the cloister, and with the presence of multifoiled arches in the triforium. The spectacular incorporation of light and the structural achievements of the ambulatory vaults are some of its more remarkable aspects. It is built with white limestone from the quarries of Olihuelas, near Toledo.

Hi Isabela
I consider myself to be a novice photographer so this is my opinion only. I'm also not very good at commenting or critiquing, I tend to be a little blunt and tactless. So please forgive me, I do not intend to offend.
The first thing that strikes me is the tonal range, which is excellent. The use of black and white is also an excellent choice. The walls and floor are good lead in lines to the main point of interest, which, in my opinion, is the arch. Good composition and the inclusion of the people lend a sense of scale.

Hello Isabela,
A nice picture of the interiors of the Cathedral. I only wish the white and black squares of the floor were more prominent. The relatively wide angle view at 17 mm has covered both the walls and leads us to the arch.Good picture in B&W.

Howdy Isabela,
Interesting monochrome view of the lower portion of the Cathedral, focusing on the checkerboard pattern on the pathway. Ornate details and textures on display.
Well done,
Cheers,
Ray

Ciao Isabela
mi piace questa foto, il b&w ci offre un'immagine molto dark di questa architettura, ma l'effetto è molto bello.
Forse c'è una leggera pendenza a sinistra, ma non è preoccupante.
Buona domenica

Hi Isabela,
Very nice view..B&W looks good here and creating an impression of an old photography. Structure and the black and white squares have made it more attractive.
Well done and all the best,
Sunandan
