Skansen Vychylovka - Kysuce Village Museum

Ethnographic exhibition in nature presents a characteristic way of settling the region Kysuce foothill areas (called "Kopanice").

Initiators of the construction of the Museum of Rural Kysuce thought guided rescue of valuable objects of folk architecture in village Harvelka and Rieènica which, in accordance with the assumption were to be sunk as a result of dam construction in Nova Bystrica. Stages are moved to the Museum of Rural Kysuce farm buildings and houses, buildings, technical and religious Kysuce several towns and villages. It began its initially trial activity in 1981. The museum also preserved buildings seasonal facilities, for pastors called cholvárky. Inside the open air museum is Chapel of Our Lady of the Rosary from the village Zborov over Bystricou, as well as the village pub from village Koròa and the oldest residential house from 1806 from village O¹èadnica. The exhibition is built in a quiet environment on a large area, surrounded by beautiful nature.

During the season (May - October) the museum arranges for visitors every Sunday, for a variety of cultural events program, conducts its business according to the principle of "living village" through the breeding of livestock, agricultural crops, also works in the Museum "live" kitchen offers delicacies from the old days, in other words - our grandmothers kitchen.
