Climbing Estrela at night searching for meteors, stars rain and that kind of stuff isn´t a rare event for me and my friends....but climbing Estrela mountain at night looking for U.F.O.´s...;))))) Eh!Eh! That was not one adventure: it was THE adventure ;))) Oh God!! How great it is to have friends that are at least as crazy as you are.. ;))

The Story: 1st June, 2004 - at about 23hours a great "strange light" was seen in the skies in manny vilages in centre and north Portugal. "The light" mouved around about a minute and had some strong explosion like sound that was eard in some places too. I didn´t see this phenomena but some friends did...

2nd June, 2004 Morning - I woke up in the morning and saw it on TV news. A new data: some portuguese Air Force plains detected in their radars a strange body in the same location that was described by the populars at that time and they recorded that the U.F.O. had some high range altitude variations in few minutes. A cientist says that the U.F.O. was a satellite that was suposed to be seen as a bright light in these days at these latitudes..and that it could be seen again in 1\2 more nights.

2nd June, 2004 Afternoon - me and some friends talked each other and made the decision ;)) : we must "capture" the U.F.O. tonight ;)))

2nd June, 2004 Night - what better place than Estrela top to see the U.F.O. and capture him, hu??!! So up we go...we had our cameras, binoculars..we even got a scope as you see ;))

Results: not a single sign from the U.F.O. but it was a hell of a funny night looking for some signs from the Univers again ;))

Oh..and it was a full moon, so it was great anyway for some shots and some craters watch :)
