Photographer's Note
The Igreja do Carmo and the Igreja dos Carmnelitas, on the left, are two churches that stand side by side.
They are separated by a very narrow house of one meter wide, where stands the pedestrian in green, an built so that they could not share a common wall and to prevent any relations between the nuns of Dos Carmelitas and the monks of Do Carmo.
The former was completed in 1628 while the latter in the Baroque style, in 1756.

Hello Robert,
My favourite churches in Porto, and I am probably not the only one who likes this fantastic side wall and the photo opportunities offered here, from any side and any distance. I am quite certain you agree. This is a very nice photo showing a wide view, and a lot of human presence too, and with exceptionally good light and contrasts.
Best regards,
Gert

A great photo of this wonderful church and its great number of beautiful and elaborate details. Also the blue tiles on the side are gorgeous and stand out so nicely from the grey walls. You had a fine sunlight as well.

Bonsoir Robert,

Hello, Robert!
The blue and white tiles on the walls of this church stand out so beautifully among the dark tones of the building, and you captured that with perfect light and sharpness! Wonderful composition! Very nice job!
