Photographer's Note

Although the oldest remains of human presence in “Aboboreira” hills go back to about 30 000 b.c., it’s from the fifth or sixth century b.c., placed near water courses, the first human settlements known. Archeological studies have already revealed the existence of a huge amount of Megalithic tombs (about 40) in this área. The cultural origins of this place go back to the migratoric waves from actual south Germany. So, the Celtic was the first cultural influence, wich always remained in the área to the actual days.

As for the photo, I’ve deliberately choosen a closed plan, avoidind fereground distractions and putting in evidence the main subject, wich was partially hidden (you don´t see clearely the pathway and entrance). This way I tryed to avoid a documental style and blur a bit the background to give even more evidence to the dólmen without hidding totally the natural environment.

This is my first effort in travel photography, so advices are welcome from you more experienced guys.
