Photographer's Note

Finished in early fifties by russians as a gift from Soviet Union to people of Poland. It was first opened during Stalin era therefore Stalin was chosed for patron of Palace. Of course it is not respected nowadays.

Palace after all was and is great place.
There's part of Palace called "Palace of Youth" where I could as a child attend classes on almost everything I wanted. From painting, sculpturing to advanced computer technologies and sport activities. I have great memories from there and remember very special feeling of place itself.

Since I was born I lived 10 minutes of walking distance from Palace and what you see here is actually view from my window :)

Picture was taken during christmas time.. that's the reason why it is decorated this way.

It is one of the only solid (like well standing ;-) buildings build during communism era in Poland. It is still the tallest building in Poland. Height is 234m (just about the same as Woolworth building in New York)
