Photographer's Note

The Japanese Garden in Wroclaw is part of a large park near the Centennial Hall. It was created in 1913 on the occasion of the Global Exhibition. For a long time it was neglected, in the 90s of the 20th century it was reconstructed and two months after the inauguration, the Garden was destroyed by the flood. 70% of the plants were lost. The reopening of the Japanese Garden took place in October 1999.
It is one of the most popular places for walks. There are 270 Asian species of various plants, some have grown there since the foundation of the garden.
