Polish Life Page 1

New series from me: "Polish Life".

I got inspired by one of our TE friends Mario (Malopes) just returned from his 2-weeks trip to Poland and already posted two of his pictures from Katowice, not a particularly touristic area but in terms of photography - very challanging. I am most curious about his vision of Poland, and I decided to run a feature on Poland which I see, in parallel.

Photo: Once a summer and weekends place for inhabitants of Warsaw, a small town of Nur is now a quiet, lazy, quite nice place located on the bank of Bug river. There are marvelous beaches surrounded by old oak trees of national park.
The man on the picture was sitting in front of a small local pub on the marketsquare of Nur. Pretty empty, with visible signs of time passed (see details like for instance the empty space where a neon used to be hang).
Nur is one of those forgotten places which I love to pop down, talk to the locals, enjoy the unique atmosphere, so much different from what you find in the over 2 million inhabitants Warsaw.
