Photographer's Note

The Oslo Opera House, a distinctive marble and glass building in Bjørvika, Oslo, is home to the Norwegian Opera and Ballet. The roof of the building angles to ground level creating a large plaza inviting pedestrians to walk up and enjoy the panoramic views of Oslo.

The Times' Richard Morrison declared, just after the building’s inauguration in April 2008: "I am in love. She's Norwegian, gorgeous, full of fun, yet with surprising hidden depths. She's the new Oslo Opera House, an amazing marble and granite vision that rises out of the fjord like a giant ice floe."
