Good Morning Everyone,

We had a short trip to Arnhem.

As we walked towards the Rhine, we saw this motorway bridge and underneath a remarkably colourful mural.
I like this, this is not really graffiti, it is street art.
Those eyes were difficult to avoid!!

As the weather was a little grey and overcast, it was good not to include too much sky!

I saw another striking piece of street art in Arnhem which I will share as a workshop.

Hello Beverley,
The grey concrete and the grey sky are completely forgotten when you see this colourful mural and those piercing eyes, much better than just some random graffiti of course. Nice inclusion of the green grass as well in the foreground.

Hello Bev,
Those eyes are almost hypnotic and couldn't be ignored by anyone passing by. Along with the hair, eyebrows and lips it was for sure a face worth a photo. I wonder what the yellow painting with the dotted frame was supposed to show. It makes me a bit curious. The WS painting is also well made, actually so well that I wonder if it is a spontaneous piece of street art or commissioned by the railway company.

Hello Beverley,

The eye on the right in shadow looks almost sinister compared to the one at left in sunlight. Good sharpness with the graffiti adding vivid colors to contrast with the grey of the fence, wall and overpass. Tfs!

Hi Bev,in fact this isn't a graffiti but a nice piece of street art. The style is a bit elementary but i like a lot the mix of colors,taken in a very bright way despite the cloudy day. Nice too the building of WS,obviouly with the sign of dutch railway because it's very easy as i can read in your note. Beautiful and original post,i like it! Have a nice week and thanks,Luciano

Bonjour Bev,

Il faut avoir le doigt rapide sur le déclencheur pour bien saisir cette murale sur l'autoroute en roulant en plus. C'est bien fait comme photo mais pas très réussi comme oeuvre d'art.

Hi Bev,
Arnhem is one of the places where Polish soldiers were helping out during WWII.
Quite an extraordinary mural.
I suppose it is good that the grey concrete like this is colorfully decorated.

Again, must state something said already many times, the WS picture worth a main post of its own, it is so clear and attractive painting, you might re-consider this.
The main photo shows sort of usual place graffiti-painters like to post their work. Attractive vivid colors against the grey concrete.

Beverley, relevant city observation during the visit. That mural is painted on the pillar supporting a bridge. It represents a blue eyed girl with pink hair and turquoise lips. Fine colors, good image quality, regards.

What a coincidence, both uploading a graffiti, this is the same as mine, I consider it a painting, here the artist has achieved a penetrating look on the woman's face, you have captured the image and the place very well.
A fantastic photo, with beautiful natural colors, very good lighting and excellent sharpness.

you know what I thought of as soon as I saw this? The comic book series of Archie...do you know of them? or maybe its just a north american thing. although graffiti has its place, I much prefer this type of street art. colourful and eye catching, pardon the pun haha. cheers

This is a cool find. The colors really pop out, and those large eyes seem to be looking right at me. :-) There's a message on the side to "collect them all", and I wonder if there were other similar murals nearby. It's a fun capture.
