Photographer's Note

Good Morning Everyone,

After showing you the garden of the Vatican Museum, I had to share something of the the interior.!

The Vatican Museums are Christian and art museums located within the city boundaries of the Vatican City. They display works from the immense collection amassed by popes throughout the centuries including several of the most renowned Roman sculptures and most important masterpieces of Renaissance art in the world.

This was the ceiling of one of the corridors and made me gasp with wonder! It is truly beautiful! However, you will notice that it is partly obscured by a flag! Let me say, it was almost impossible to photograph anything without some person or article obscuring it!

If I was asked whether it was good, I would say that I'm glad I went because there were objects and paintings that I would have yearned for, had I not attempted to see them. Would I go again - not unless I was guaranteed a reduction on the numbers admitted! There were times when I couldn't help thinking of Hilsborough Stadium, when hundreds were crushed because of the overcrowding! There were times in this building when I just had to move with the crowd, there was no option because people were so tightly packed!

I will add a couple of workshops, one showing the sculptures here and one showing a corridor here .

Have a lovely Sunday! We got an extra hour in bed, today, Bev !
