Farnese Fountain - Leonessa
Of the octagonal structure, the fountain set in three steps. The bathtub features, alternately on four sides, embossed carved beads surrounded by ribbon elements, including the one of Leonessa. At the center of the bathtub, an octagonal balustrade, adorned with alternate squares with four dolphins and four masks, supports the pyramidal crowning consisting of three feminine winged figures and culminating with a circular base surmounted by a sphere. Masks, winged figures and ball hold the water vents. The fountain, built in Florentine stone, has an extremely linear shape. It dates back to the 16th century.
