Rome by night

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Scanned from a 35mm slide.
taken from the ceiling of the hotel Exedra in Piazza Repubblica.
What we see is the fountain of the Naiads by Mario Rutelli built in 1901 and behind it is the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli. The latter was built by Michelangelo in mid 1500's in the Tepidarium of what used to be the Baths of Diocletian (biggest thermal baths in Rome)which were finished in the year 306!!
the lights you see are caused by Cars built by unknown architects and engineers mostly in the 21st century, however amongst the parked cars are some examples of cars from the 20th century as well. |
