this little girl was walking around at the saint peter's square in rome in a very graceful way..just like a little princess. twirling around the pink umbrella with her hands.
by the way..this kind of chinese-looking umbrellas are sold in various colours at every corner in rome, they seem to be the tourist-souvenir-hit number one of this summer season.

this is indeed a little princess - not only her parasol, but the dress and the haircut, too - you don't see too many little girls dressed like this anymore...
I am going to buy for sure one of these umbrellas - here in Holland no one will suspect they're souvenirs from Rome =)!!
you caught a perfect moment - she is lost in her thoughts and her eyes are cast down... lovely!

Hello Julia

You've captured this photo very well. Its always difficult to balance shade, bright light and bright white colors, all of which you have in your photo.

The only thing you could have done, was to use a fill flash to brighten her face...but that's being picky on my part.
