Photographer’s Note

The Piazza del Popolo is a large square in Rome. The name in modern Italian literally means "piazza of the people", but historically it derives from the poplars (populus in Latin, pioppo in Italian) after which the church of Santa Maria del Popolo, in the northeast corner of the piazza, takes its name.

The sky is amazing in this image. Almost like an HDR effect. Good perspective of this plaza with the lamp post on the side. Details and tones seem perfect here. Good work Philip :-)

A superb view of this famous and very nice piazza. The POV is very well selectde and the composition well balanced. Very nice sky well collected too. The peoples give an interetsing element of life, an idea of the scale and interetsing coloured elements.

This is a great shot and the sky is fantastic. The lighting and colors are fine with excellent sharpness and DOF. The lamp posts provide nice balance for the scene.
