Photographer’s Note
Taken from the Dingle Penisular in South West Ireland, another shot that I think is improved for being in Black and White. The original had rather washed out colours, but I think the layers of haze and the darkened foreground now add depth to the picture.
(For those that know the tune - I know the somber mood of the photo is not really in keeping with the feeling of the tune - listen to the Pogues version on "Red Roses for Me" if you don't know it).

I like the extreme tones, from dark to medium to white (wash out, really). But they all convey a nice pix. I do like the receding tones of the mountains(?) in the middle, as well as the curve sillouete shapes of the rocks on the right.

Amazing shot! It looks so threatening...I would have been really afraid to sail there....imposing landscape!

This dramatic land and sea scape are beautifully framed. Black & White is a great choice as it adds depth to the composition. Well done.
